Born and raised in Monroe, Louisiana, Otis Felton credits his integrity and work ethic to his Christian upbringing and strong family values. After relocating to Brownwood in 2020, he and his wife, Carmaleta, quickly immersed themselves in community service—supporting organizations such as the Brownwood Community Library, United Way of Brown County, the Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce, and the Women’s Club of Brownwood. During their years in Dallas, they co-chaired both the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Gala and the prestigious Emmitt Smith Celebrity Gala and Golf Tournament. They will lend their leadership once again as co-chairs of the Brownwood Library’s 2026 Kentucky Derby Watch Party.

After decades of leadership in the banking industry and twenty years with the FDIC, Felton recognized a costly pattern: businesses were losing money through inefficiencies hidden within their utility systems. In 2018, he founded Otis Felton & Associates, LLC to help businesses identify and correct these invisible losses using proven, field-tested technologies.

“Every business wants to grow stronger, cleaner, and more efficient,” Felton says. “Our role is to make that possible through measurable innovation.”

Working in partnership with PGW Solutions of Houston, TX, Felton leads each engagement with a deep dive into a client’s utility data. By examining water flow, electrical demand, and air quality, his team identifies the hidden inefficiencies most businesses never see. With advanced diagnostic tools and trusted, field-tested technologies, they design tailored solutions that lower expenses, reduce waste, enhance reliability, and prolong equipment life.

The technology solutions listed below have been tested and proven across multiple commercial and industrial environments.

1. Powerhouse™ Voltage Recycling System
Addresses one of the most overlooked costs in operations—power factor inefficiency. Powerhouse™ corrects voltage imbalance, captures wasted electrical energy, and recycles it for productive use. Facilities typically achieve 10–30% savings, improved reliability, and extended equipment life—with an ROI in under three years.

2. ONICS™ Passive Power Optimization
Designed for facilities where downtime isn’t a viable option—like hospitals, schools, and 24-hour plants—ONICS™ installs on the neutral side of the electrical system to reduce kilowatt demand, mitigate harmonics, and balance voltage. The result: smoother operations, cooler-running equipment, and energy savings up to 20%, often achieving payback in as little as nine months.

3. Smart Valve™ Water Efficiency System
Ninety-nine percent of water meters measure both air and water, which leads to inflated bills. The Smart Valve™ solves this by compressing the air volume inside water lines, preventing the meter from over-registering while maintaining normal flow and pressure. Customers typically see 15–25% savings on their monthly bills. Felton personally confirmed the results in his own Brownwood home, achieving a 20% reduction. Today, the Smart Valve™ is installed in more than 30,000 locations.

4. Blade Air™ Filtration System
Blade Air™ combines electrostatic filtration to remove particles up to 40 times smaller than standard filters, down to 0.007 microns, which is smaller than the COVID virus. With a MERV 14 rating, it improves indoor air quality, reduces strain on HVAC systems, and extends equipment life.

5. ScaleBuster®
The patented ScaleBuster® technology provides an environmentally friendly way to prevent scale and corrosion in plumbing, heating, and water systems. Installed in over 300,000 locations worldwide, ScaleBuster® delivers chemical-free, power-free water treatment for residential, commercial, and industrial applications. It prevents mineral buildup in pipes and heat exchangers, extending equipment life and reducing chemical use.

A Vision for Sustainable Profitability, Felton believes that efficiency and stewardship go hand in hand. “When businesses save money, they gain capacity to grow, hire, and give back,” he says. “Our technologies are not about gadgets—they’re about good stewardship of both resources and responsibility.”
