Deborah Susan (Martin) Garcia, 72, of Brownwood, Texas, passed away Tuesday, November 11, 2025, in Brownwood. A memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, November 20, 2025, at Brownwood Funeral Home, 2512 Belle Plain, Brownwood, Texas 76801.
Deborah was born in San Angelo, Texas, at Goodfellow Air Force Base to MSgt JL and Patsy Merle (Keeney) Martin on May 28, 1953.  Her family traveled throughout the world as her father served our country in the United States Air Force. She graduated from Central High School in Aurora, Colorado, in 1971.  The family eventually moved back to Texas, and she eventually settled in Brownwood, where she began her career as a hairstylist.  She met and married Jose Valdemar Garcia in 1986 and gave birth to her first child, a son, Michael Sean Garcia, on September 22, 1987.  The following year, she gave birth to a daughter, Jennifer Ryan Garcia, on December 19, 1988. In 1995, she made a career change to become a Teacher’s Aide with Northwest Elementary.  She worked there for more than 20 years, where she was loved by many.  She retired in 2018, after the birth of her first grandson.
Deborah was preceded in death by her parents and her younger brother, Randall Jay Martin.
Deborah is survived by her son, Michael, and his wife, Laura Garcia; her daughter, Jennifer Garcia; her brother, Corry, and his wife, Melissa Martin; and her youngest brother, Kyle, and his wife, Melissa Martin; and her two grandchildren, Jiraiya Moreno and Benjamin Garcia.
