Brandon McMillian announces candidacy for Brown County Justice of the Peace Precinct 4

Brandon McMillian officially announced that he will be seeking election for Brown County Justice of the Peace Precinct 4.  Brandon is a lifelong Brown County residence and attended Bangs ISD, graduating in 2005. He has been married to his wife Deborah for 18 years and they have three children, Christopher, Chloe and Cooper. 

Brandon worked full time in law enforcement as a police officer for over 11 years, 10 of which were with the Early Police Department under Chief David Mercer. He held many positions at the department including Patrol Corporal, Patrol Sergeant, and Detective. Brandon also was responsible for the departments K9 unit and utilized the drug sniffing K9 for many years in Brown County.  In 2021, Brandon made the decision to prioritize time with his family and resigned from his position at the Early Police Department. Brandon retains his peace officer certification as a reserve officer at the Early Police Department. 

During Brandon’s time in law enforcement, he obtained over 1,800 hours of training and has been involved in numerous hours of civil and criminal court proceedings. Brandon has worked along side judicial offices in the State of Texas throughout his law enforcement career, including the office of Justice of the Peace. His training and experience gives him knowledge of the duties and responsibilities required to be Justice of the Peace and is confident he can uphold the high bar that has been set by former and current Justice of the Peace’s here in Brown County. 

Brandon McMillian asks for your vote for Justice of the Peace Precinct 4 in the 2026 Primary election. Early voting will be held February 17-27, 2026 and Election Day is March 3, 2026.
