HICO – The Early Lady Horns improved to 2-1 on the young basketball season Saturday afternoon with a 63-52 road victory over previously undefeated Hico.

Early led Hico (2-1) by a 17-7 count after one quarter, 30-25 at halftime, and 46-40 heading to the fourth period.

Avery Williams poured in 26 points for the Lady Horns trailed by 11 from Aliyah Harlan, six from Cali Vargas, five from Andie Simpson, four apiece from Kayleigh Torrez, Gabby Benson, and Abby Ferguson, and three points from Mia Gomez.

The Lady Horns hit the road again Tuesday, visiting Bangs at 5:15 p.m.
