Candace “Candi” Ann Wallace, age 60, of Brownwood, Texas, passed away peacefully on November 12, 2025, after a long illness with diabetes, which she courageously battled since being diagnosed at just 13 years old. A funeral service will be held at 10 AM, Monday, November 17 in the Heartland Funeral Home Chapel in Early with interment to follow at Fairview Cemetery.

Born on April 2, 1965, in Brownwood, Candi was the beloved daughter of Jean Wallace of Bangs, Texas, and the late Royce Wallace. She graduated from San Angelo Central High School and spent her life rooted in her faith, family, and love of animals.

Candi found joy in worship, fellowship, and sharing her faith. She was known for her kind heart, joyful laugh, and deep compassion for others. She loved collecting Barbies, spending time with her family, and caring for her many beloved pets, who brought her great comfort and happiness throughout her life. Her greatest passion was witnessing about Jesus and reflecting His love.

Candi is survived by her mother, Jean Wallace of Bangs; her brother, Von Wallace of Allen, TX; Rod Carlson; and her sister, Tammi Wallace Wood and husband Jason Wood of Brimfield, MA. She also leaves behind her nieces Tiffany Cook and husband Blake Cook of Allen, TX; Samantha Wallace of McKinney, TX; and Kristen Carlson of Colorado; her nephew David Wallace; and her great-niece Ruby and great-nephew Wolfram.

She was preceded in death by her father, Royce Wallace, and her grandparents Bertie Mae Mitchell, and Marie and Sam Wallace.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Songbird Lodge, especially Miranda, Manny, and Marlinda, as well as to Interim Hospice – particularly Cirila – and Dr. Ranjana N. Nigalye, MD for their exceptional care, compassion, and kindness shown to Candi in her final months.

Candi’s gentle childlike spirit, unshakable faith, and unconditional love will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association in Candi’s honor.
