GATESVILLE – The May Lady Tigers dismantled Class 4A Gatesville, 77-32, Tuesday night to move to 2-0 on the season.

May led 13-11 after one quarter, 43-21 at halftime, and 55-23 through three quarters.

Jordyn Gerhardt scored a team-high 36 points for the Lady Tigers followed by 15 from Chloe Lord, nine from Cortney Harper, eight from Lauren Hicks, five from Aubree Gerhardt, and four from McKenna Landes.

The Lady Tigers are currently scheduled to visit Meridian at 5 p.m. Friday.

Stephenville 40, Early Lady Horns 23

EARLY – The Early Lady Horns suffered their first loss of the basketball season Tuesday night, falling to Stephenville by a 40-23 count.

Early (1-1) trailed 8-4 after one quarter, 18-8 at halftime, and 33-19 after three quarters.

The Lady Horns received nine points from Aliyah Harlan, five from Avery Williams, four from Andie Simpson, two each from Gabby Benson and Mia Lopez and one point from Abagail Ferguson.

Early will next visit Hico at 12:15 p.m. Saturday.
