It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Brayden Lynn Baldwin, who left this world on November 1, 2025, at the young age of 18. Born on February 21, 2007, in Abilene, Texas, Brayden’s life was a bright light, full of laughter, love, and an indomitable spirit that touched everyone around him.
Brayden was the cherished son of Haley and Ruben Turner and Robert Baldwin. He was preceded in death by his beloved Papa Jim Guess, whose memory brought him comfort and joy. Brayden is survived by his brothers; Remington and Bentley, Grandparents Ann Guess, Connie and Mary Turner and Kathy Landreth. Great Uncle Jay Davis and family, Uncles Reid Guess and family, Uncle Brandon DuBose and family, Chris Williams and family, Jerry Williams and family, Johnny Baldwin and family, Cousin Taylor Shorb and family, and a wide circle of cherished friends, all of whom will carry his memory in their hearts forever.
A proud graduate of Lampasas High School, class of 2025, Brayden’s dreams were big and bright. He was currently enrolled at Texas State Technical College in Waco, where he pursued a degree in welding. This passion was not just a career choice but a way for Brayden to carry on his Papa Jim’s legacy in the trailer-building business, a testament to his loyalty and admiration for family traditions.
Brayden was known for his larger-than-life presence that could fill any room with laughter and joy. His fun-loving nature was infectious, and his loyalty to those he loved was unwavering. He had a unique ability to connect with people, making everyone feel valued and appreciated.
Brayden’s interests were as diverse as his personality. From an early age, he developed a fascination with welding, trucks, hunting, and fishing. These hobbies were not just activities to him but passions that brought him immense joy and satisfaction. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, relishing the beauty of nature and the thrill of adventure.
Brayden was deeply involved in his community and was a proud member of the First Methodist Church in Coleman, Texas. He also attended Open Gate Cowboy Church in Lampasas, where he found a sense of belonging and fellowship that enriched his life. His faith and community ties played a significant role in shaping the compassionate and caring young man he became.
Though Brayden’s time with us was far too brief, his impact on the lives of those who knew him is immeasurable. His laughter, spirit, and the love he shared will remain in our hearts forever. A private funeral service will be held to honor his memory, allowing family and friends to gather in a space filled with love and reflection.
As we mourn the loss of Brayden Lynn Baldwin, we also celebrate the joy he brought into our lives. May his spirit soar free, and may we carry his light within us always.
