Intersect, the owner and operator of the Radian Solar Project located in Brown County near Brookesmith, is proud to support the vital work of Good Samaritan Ministries of Brownwood. For more than 30 years, Good Samaritan has been a cornerstone in addressing hunger and food insecurity throughout the region. Through initiatives such as its Main Food Pantry, Mobile Food Pantry, and “Food for Thought” weekend meal program for students, Good Samaritan Ministries provides reliable access to nutritious food for families, seniors, and children across Brown County.
In response to recent funding cuts impacting food insecurity programs, Intersect is contributing $20,000 to help sustain Good Samaritan’s essential services. “Good Samaritan Ministries has been a lifeline for families in the area,” said Elizabeth Knowles, Head of Community Engagement at Intersect. “Their tireless work ensures that no family faces hunger alone. We’re proud to stand alongside them in strengthening the well-being of the Brown County community.”
Intersect has demonstrated a strong, ongoing commitment to Brown County through meaningful investments in local organizations, such as funding the Brookesmith VFD Community Center and supporting the Winchell Volunteer Fire Department, Brookesmith ISD, and other vital community institutions.
Good Samaritan Ministries encourages community members to volunteer, donate food and household items, or contribute financially to sustain its mission.
