On the 12th day of April, 1972, Deverea Danielle was born in Camp Kue Hospital on the island of Okinawa. Very proud and excited parents were Robert and Judy Northcutt. Soon after Deverea’s birth, her dad was stationed at Fort Hood, Texas for his Ending Time in Service. After his discharge, the family moved to San Angelo. They made their home there until 2002.

Deverea spent her school years in the San Angelo school system. She was graduated from Lake View High School class of 1990. When her parents made the move to Brownwood, Deverea decided she and her 5 boys would also. She was quoted as saying that “She might could do without a village for the boys but she couldn’t do without her parents.” She has made her home in Brownwood since. Family was very important to Deverea and nothing made her prouder than being the mother to her five boys. Later she was known as Dee to their spouses and her grandchildren.

Deverea left many happy memories for her family to remember and cherish. Cherishing those memories will be Devin Whitt, his wife Chelsea and their boys Jack, Jones and Holden of Early, Robert Dalton and wife Jina and their girls, Jennifer and Demri Jo of Hasslett, Texas, Denton DeWayne, Caleb Scott, Cade Seth, and Keyonce Lucas all of Brownwood, Texas. Also surviving are Deverea’s mom, Judy and her brother Daniel and his wife Jenn, and their children of Lee, Massachusetts.

Preceding Deverea in death were both sets of grandparents and her dad.

Deverea shed her earthly body of pain and disease to join them on the evening of November 5, 2025 at the age of 53. Deverea’s beautiful smile and infectious personality won her many friends during her lifetime. She loved each one and was willing to go the extra mile for anyone of them.

Her family will host a visitation at 2 PM on Sunday, November 9th at Heartland Funeral Home Chapel with a Memorial Service to follow at 3 PM. Deverea requested that there be no flowers. She asked for plants and balloons. Cremation will follow after the visitation and memorial service per her request.
