
ROUND ROCK – The Coleman Bluekatts placed sixth and the Goldthwaite Lady Eagles came in seventh in the final team standings at the UIL Class 2A cross country state championships Saturday morning at Old Settlers Park.
Competing for Coleman were Victoria Guerrero (3rd, 12:01.2), Savannah Hurtado (36th, 13:18.4), Callie Campbell (45th, 13:27.7), Kylie Strickland (53rd, 13:40.), Lexi Foster (71st, 14:14.0), Avery Van Pelt (85th, 14:35.5), and Haylee Foster (90th, 14:41.9).
Runners for Goldthwaite included Emily Bartek (4th, 12:02.9), Payten McGee (6th, 12:06.3), Rylie Hillis (57th, 13:55.2), Kenley Howard (69th, 14:11.5), Edith Aguilar (78th, 14:27.3), Molly Wilson (81st, 14:32.9) and Miliani Jones (94th, 14:50.7).
Hamilton won the Class 2A girls team state championship.
In the Class 4A girls portion of the meet earlier Saturday morning, Brownwood Lady Lion sophomore Rebekkah Delgado placed 43rd overall out of 151 runners in a time of 12:16.3.
