Mary Evelyn Foster, 105, of Grosvenor, Texas passed away Thursday, October 23, 2025. Memorial service will be held at Rocky Creek Baptist Church, 4300 Co Rd 557, Brownwood, TX 76801 at 10:00 AM, Thursday, October 30, 2025 with Blu Tidwell officiating.

Mary was born August 21, 1920 in Houston, Texas to Katie Lee Nance. She graduated from Bastrop High School in Bastrop, Texas. Mary married Bob Foster in June of 1942 at Belton, Texas and they began a life together that blessed them with 3 children. Mary worked as a telephone operator for many years and ran a call booth from her home. She was a great cook and loved making large meals for family gatherings. She enjoyed gardening and spent many hours at the Rocky Creek Baptist Church decorating, working in the library, helping with meals on wheels and visiting nursing homes. What kept Mary going was her ability to not stop, she loved going and doing all the time and she especially loved to travel. Whether flying, taking a road trip or going on a cruise, Mary was always ready to go explore.

Mary is survived by her daughter, Sharon Kay Horine and husband Johnny of Grosvenor; sons, Robin Foster of Edmond, OK & Dennis Foster and wife Linda of Broken Arrow, OK; 4 grandchildren, Nicole Fee, Angela Cross, April Kerns & Derick Foster; 7 great grandchildren, church family and friends.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Foster; and granddaughter, Kristina Canary.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Rocky Creek Baptist Church, 4300 County Road 557, Brownwood, Texas or to Gideon Bible Society at https://gideons.org/donate
