Maren Lynn Stewart passed away Sunday, October 19, 2025, in Caldwell, Texas at the age of 71. A graveside service will be held at 2 PM on Friday, October 24, 2025, at Eastlawn Memorial Park in Early, Texas.
Maren Lynn was born April 15, 1954, in Brownwood, Texas to Charles Andrew Stewart, Jr. and Maurine Pederson Stewart. She was her parents’ everything and her grandparents’ pride and joy.
As a young girl, she contracted a virus that gave her an extremely high fever. It left her having uncontrollable seizures. But even with physical issues, Maren Lynn outshined the difficulties. She would adapt to any situation she found herself in and always make new friends. She never met a stranger and immediately called everyone by their first name, even doctors and nurses. The seizures tried to keep her under their ugly control, but she wouldn’t let that happen. She kept fighting and was determined to keep going. She always made the best of the situation she had been dealt. And after about 60 years of fighting…. She won! She stepped into the arms of Jesus in victory!
Maren Lynn was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Maurine Stewart, grandparents Andy and Myrtle Stewart, grandparents Ole and Thelma Pederson, uncle Karl Pederson and cousin Roy Deen.
Maren Lynn is survived by her favorite uncle and aunt, Dr. Olen T. Pederson and Barbara Pederson, cousins Dee Ann Pederson, Karl M. Pederson, Connie Deen Hart and husband Larry, Jimmie Deen and wife Linda, and a favorite “little” cousin, Tim Schoen, Connie’s son; and longtime caregiver Sharon Gunter.
