Joe Kenneth Chambers, 77, of Spicewood, Texas (formerly of Brookesmith), passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, October 19, 2025.

Kenneth lived life to the fullest. He cherished the simple pleasures, good conversation, time outdoors, and the company of family and friends. He never met a stranger and could strike up a conversation with anyone. Whether hunting, fishing, or simply taking a drive through the countryside, Kenneth found joy in life’s everyday moments.

He married Brenda Sue Ellis on October 1, 1965, and together they raised three children: Kevin, John, and Kasie. Brenda preceded him in death on December 25, 2007.

Though he did not like swimming in the ocean, he enjoyed beach time in Port Aransas. There he walked into the second love of his life, Jody Spillman. They married on December 12, 2012. Jody’s family, Andy Reid (Becca) and Katy Reid, and grandchildren Isaac and Elijah became his family.

Kenneth is survived by his children son Kevin Chambers and wife Renee of Brownwood; son John Chambers and wife Tonya of Brookesmith; and daughter Kasie Patterson and husband Ronnie of Bangs. He was a proud grandfather to Stephanie Chambers, Brooke, Hunter Chambers, Kyle Chambers, Steven Chambers, and Mathew Chambers, and great-grandfather to Buck, Kendin, and Brenda Chambers.

Kenneth is also survived by special friends and family Rebekah, Jamison, Tony, Kayla, Patrick, Trinity, Madison, Kayleigh, Willow, and McKenna — all of whom brought him much joy.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his late wife, Brenda Sue Chambers; his brothers, Bill and David Chambers; and many lifelong friends.

A special thank you to Becky Preslar and Katy Reid for all the help they did for our dad Kenneth.

He will be missed deeply and will always be loved.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 22, 2025, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Blaylock Funeral Home. Graveside services will take place Thursday, October 23, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Mukewater Cemetery in Bangs.
