
The following information was provided by the Brown County’s Sheriff Office:
- On 10/17/2025, at approximately 1002 hours, Brown County Deputy Sheriff Madeline Reigle was notified of a scam. Deputy Reigle spoke with the victim, who stated the unknown suspect called her by phone and identified themselves as Marcus West with the Brown County Sheriff’s Office. The suspect advised the victim their granddaughter, who is incarcerated, had been approved for release with an ankle monitor, but the victim would need to pay a $427 fee. The victim provided their debit card information, and the money was withdrawn from the account. A report was made for further investigation by Brown County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division.
- On October 17, 2025, at approximately 1132 hours, Deputy Alexandria Sanchez was dispatched to a walk in at the Brown County Law Enforcement Center refencing a theft. Deputy Sanchez spoke with Donald Martin Lewis (Victim), who said he was missing tools. Information was taken, and a report was made.
- On 10/17/25, at approximately 2300 hours, Deputies Ethan Fox and John Geis were dispatched to Cr 411 W, May, Tx 76857 regarding an assault. On arrival, deputies spoke with Jamie Polk, who stated GREENE, JAMES assaulted her by punching her in the face. Information was gathered, and a report was made.
- On October 18th, 2025, at 0914 hours, Deputy Hayden Donahoo was dispatched to a hit and run at the intersection of FM 2125 and Spillway RD in Brownwood, Tx 76801. Information and pictures were gathered on scene. A report was made.
- On October 18th, 2025, at 1228 hours, Deputy Hayden Donahoo was dispatched to a found property call at CR 417 in May, Tx 76857. Information and pictures were gathered. A report was made.
- On October 19, 2025, at 1602 hours, Deputy Thomas Beloat with the Brown County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to County Road 152 regarding hit and run. I arrived on scene and spoke to the reporting party. Information was gathered, and a report was completed.
- On 10/16/2025, at 0211 hours, Deputy Michel Wilson conducted a traffic stop on a white 2010 Dodge Ram 1500 for a defective license plate light in the 2200 block of Highway 67. The driver of the vehicle, Daniel Morgan, refused to step out of the vehicle to preform standardized field sobriety testing. Daniel was arrested for resisting arrest and driving under the influence. Information was obtained, and a report has been made.
- On Thursday, October 16, 2025, at 19:09 hours, Brown County Deputy Sheriff TJ Harrell was dispatched to the Urgent Care Center in Brownwood for a dog bite. It was determined an unprovoked dog had attacked a female. The owner of the dog was issued a Prohibited Dog From Running at Large and a Dangerous Dog Notice. A report was generated.
