Hannah Deen (5) recorded eight kills and eight digs for Brownwood (15-18, 1-7), which hosts Mineral Wells Tuesday night in the final home match of the season

The Brownwood Lady Lions captured the first set, and had a chance to draw even late in the fourth, but the Glen Rose Lady Tigers emerged with a four-set District 6-4A volleyball victory Friday afternoon at Warren Gym.

Brownwood dropped a 20-25, 25-15, 25-9, 28-26 decision to slip to 15-18 for the season and 1-7 in league action, with two matches remaining.

Hannah Deen and Aniah Hines led the attack with eight kills apiece followed by five each from Demayha Hooker and Kaydence Chandler. Icess Hall added two kills while Jentry Coalson and Addy Huerta were credited with one apiece.

Hall dished out 21 assists while Coalson contributed seven.

Lanie Johnson, Hall, Coalson and Hines each served an ace.

Defensively, Hall collected 10 digs followed by nine from Johnson, eight for both Deen and Chandler, six each from Coalson and Hines, five from Green, three from Hooker, two each from Stokes and Camryn Gipson, and one by Grace Sparks, Sara Stubblefield, and Huerta.

Hooker registered five blocks trailed by one apiece from Bellah Stokes, Ashantia Green, Hines and Chandler.

The Lady Lions are back in action Tuesday as they host Mineral Wells in the home finale at 6 p.m. at Warren Gym.
