Tickets are still available for “A Night of Worship with Matt Papa” at Howard Payne University on Thursday, October 23. This free concert for the community will be held at 7 p.m. in L.J. Mims Auditorium. The event is presented by HPU’s Bachelor of Arts in Worship Ministry and sponsored by university friends and several area churches.

Matt Papa is the writer of “His Mercy Is More” and “Christ Our Hope in Life and Death,” and is a three-time Dove Award-nominated artist from Marco Island, Florida. He tours regularly across the U.S. as a songwriter with Getty Music and frequently guests on their tours.

HPU’s Bachelor of Arts in Worship Ministry is a new degree offered through the School of Christian Studies and the School of Education and Fine Arts. Students interested in pursuing a vocational career in worship ministry are encouraged to consider this degree with training in theology, music, leadership and ministry. The program is designed to prepare worship ministers to be proactive in the education and application of music in the modern church.

Local churches are encouraged to bring groups to attend the concert on October 23.
