Brown County Sheriff’s Office Report: Oct. 14

The Brown County Sheriff’s Office released the following information:

  • On Friday, 10/10/2025, at about 0929 hours, Deputy Chris Williamson was dispatched to an animal bite call, located at the Brownwood- Brown County Health Department, Booker St., Brownwood, TX. Chastity Ann Willoughby was scratched by a cat on the front porch of her property. Due to Willoughby not knowing the cat or ever seeing the cat before, precautions were taken by medical staff. Information was collected, and a report was made.
  • On Friday, October 10, 2025, at 12:01 hours, Sgt Jayson Bastardo was dispatched to CR 616, Care Nursing and Rehabilitation, regarding a package, which had been stolen on September 30, 2025. Upon arrival, contact was made with Emma Reid. Reid stated she was expecting a package on September 30, which she never received. Information was gathered, and a report was taken.
  • On Friday, October 10, 2025, Brown County Deputy Sheriff TJ Harrell assisted the Brownwood Police Department in apprehending a male subject. The male subject had an active warrant. Deputy Harrell located the subject on West Anderson Street and after a short pursuit, the male was located and placed under arrest by the Brownwood Police Department.
  • On Friday, October 10, 2025, at approximately 1715 hours, Brown County Deputy Sheriff Francisco Valencia was dispatched to an address on CR 321 regarding a civil matter. The complainant had property being withheld and needed it returned. Before Deputy Valencia arrived, there was a verbal altercation between the complainant and the residential owner of the property. The complainant was able to retrieve their belongings and was issued a Trespass Warning for the address. A report was made.
  • On Saturday, October 11, 2025, at approximately 00:35 hours, Brown County Deputy Sheriff TJ Harrell was conducting routine patrol on Limerick Drive, Brown County, Texas, 76801. Deputy Harrell located a vehicle with expired registration driving on Limerick Drive. A traffic stop was initiated and after further investigation, the driver of the vehicle was arrested on suspicion of Driving While Intoxicated. A report was generated.
  • On October 11, 2025, I, Deputy Saydie Bradley, was in the area of Riverside Dr and Market place Blvd in Brownwood, TX, when I was flagged down by a citizen, who had located a wallet at or near Riverside Dr and marketplace Blvd. The owner was contacted; the wallet was later found to have been stolen out of the owner’s vehicle. A report was made.
  • On Saturday, 10/11/2025, at about 0858 hours, Deputy Chris Williamson was dispatched to a harassment call located at CR 156, Bangs, TX. Trista Lee Bradley stated at around 0853 hours, her ex-husband, JAVIER NOEL BERNAL, was harassing her by phone and at her residence. Information was collected, and a report made.
  • On Saturday, 10/11/20025, at about 1013 hours, Deputy Seargent Byron Langley and Deputy Chris Williamson were dispatched to a welfare check located at West US 67, Bangs, TX. Jimmy Frank Phillips stated he wanted to inflict bodily harm to himself with a rifle, while intoxicated. Proper steps were taken to ensure Phillips’s wellbeing. Information collected, and a report was made.
  • On 10/11/2025, at 1750 hours, Deputies were dispatched to Cr 183 for a disorderly conduct. Corey Wishert threw rocks at Paul Hoisington Jr while he was mowing and shooting rocks back at Corey’s residence. Information was taken, and a report has been made.
  • On Sunday, October 12, 2025, at approximately 0018 hours, Sergeant Francisco Valencia with the Brown County Sheriff’s Office initiated a pedestrian stop for walking on the wrong side of the roadway, at the intersection of CR 602/CR 603. The female suspect had active warrants for her arrest and was placed into custody. During a consensual search of a backpack she was wearing, illegal narcotics were located. The female was charged with Possession of Controlled Substance and Possession of Marijuana. A report was made.
  • On Sunday, 10/12/2025, at about 0853 hours, Deputy Saydie Bradley and Deputy Chris Williamson were dispatched to a domestic disturbance located at Smith Lane, Brownwood, TX. Megan Mckenzie Hammonds and her boyfriend, MATTHEW ALBERTHAL, were fighting. Hammonds stated ALBERTHAL spit on the back of her head, alarming her. Information was collected, and a report was made.
  • On October 12, 2025, I, Deputy Saydie Bradley, was dispatched to Clover Leaf regarding a theft. Information was gathered, and a report was made.
  • On Sunday, 10/12/2025, at about 1211 hours, Deputy Seargent Byron Langley and Deputy Chris Williamson were dispatched to a welfare check, located at West US 67, Bangs, TX. Jimmy Frank Phillips refused medical treatment. Deputies were able to provide Phillips with help. Information was gathered, and a report was made.
  • On 10/12/2025, at 2157 hours, Deputy Michel Wilson conducted a traffic stop on black motorcycle without any tail lamps in the Blk of Ballycastle. After investigation, the driver of the black motorcycle, Evan Campbell, was arrested for Possession of a Controlled substance PG1 >1. Information was obtained, and a report has been made.
  • On October 13th, 2025, at 1041 hours, Deputy Hayden Donahoo and Deputy Sanchez were dispatched to an unwanted person at Chapparal Dr in Brownwood, Tx 76801. Deputies arrived on scene and the individual in question was no longer on scene. Information and pictures were gathered, and a report was made.
  • On 10/14/2025, Deputy John Geis responded to a burglary not in progress at East Hall Bangs, TX 76823, TexasBank. Deputy Geis was informed someone attempted to pull the ATM out of the front of the bank. The suspect vehicle, a Silver in color newer model Ford F150 with after-market rims, occupied by 3 black males and a white possibly Hispanic male, was last seen heading toward Brownwood. Information was gathered, and a report was ma
  • On October 9, 2025, at approximately 1049 hours, Deputy Alexandria Sanchez was dispatched to a walk in at the Brown County Sheriff’s department in reference to a fraud. Deputy Sanchez spoke with Cecil Leon Rutherford (Victim), who said he received a letter referencing instructions requesting benefit payment. Information was taken, and a report was made.
  • On 10/09/2025, Deputy John Geis was dispatched to Dorothy Lane, Brownwood, TX 76801 regarding a theft. Deputy Geis spoke to a Lori Fleming, who said she had a package stolen, which was delivered to the wrong address. Lori said she spoke to the homeowner at Dorothy Lane, Brownwood, TX 76801, Robert Smith, who was unable to locate the package. Robert advised Deputy Geis he believed BUFFINNGTON, REBA had stolen the package. Information was gathered, and a report was made.
