Donald Stearns, age 65, of Melissa, Texas, passed away on Friday, October 10, 2025, in McKinney. A graveside service for Donald will be held at 10:00AM on Thursday, October 16, at Trickham Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Heartland Funeral Home in Early.

Donald was born on January 30, 1960, in Brownwood to Jimmy and Brenda Stearns. Donald worked as a programmer for Medtronic for many years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, watching his grandson play football, and eating ice cream with his granddaughter.

Donald is survived by his parents, Jimmy and Brenda Sterns; daughter, Amanda Chapa and husband Carlos; 2 grandchildren, Andrew and Caitlin Chapa; siblings, Debbie Brown and husband Mike, Sandra Short and husband Tim, Barbara Gentleman, and James Stearns and wife Demetra.

He is preceded in death by his son, Joshua Stearns.
