Beginning Monday, October 13, 2025, TxDOT’s contractor will close a portion of CR 508 for reconstruction of a bridge located approximately 1.25 miles south of Mullin.

The closure will be from a short distance south of the bridge to a short distance north of the bridge. Northbound traffic on CR 508 will be detoured to travel west on CR 527, then north on CR 529, continuing north on FM 573 to Mullin. Southbound traffic will be detoured at the intersection of Bulldog Drive and South 6 th Street/CR 508, to travel northwest on Bulldog drive, south on FM 573, continuing south on CR 529 and then east at CR 527 to return to CR 508 south of the closure.

Residences on CR 508, along portions north and south of the closure, will remain accessible during this closure and construction.

This bridge replacement project is expected to take approximately three to four months to complete, weather permitting.
