Suelena (Sue) Flores Huron, 77, of Kyle, Tx. passed away on Thursday, October 2, 2025 surrounded by her loving family. A visitation for Sue will be held from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 8, 2025 at Blaylock Funeral Home in San Saba. A funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday, October 9, 2025 at The Father’s House in San Saba and will be officiated by Pastor Tom Brand. Arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home in San Saba.

Sue was born on May 23, 1948 in San Saba, Tx. to Carlos B. Flores and Antonia Diaz Flores. She attended school in San Saba and after she graduated she found a job she was passionate about and loved doing and that was working as a caregiver. After several years she moved to San Antonio and fell in love with “the love of her life.” She married Benjamine Roger Huron on February 14, 1967 in New Braunfels, Tx. On December 31, 1967 she gave birth to Benjamine Roger Huron Jr. From September 2, 1972 to September 2, 1974, Sue attended St. Phillips School of Nursing at a San Antonio College and obtained her License of Practical Nursing. While attending nursing school she worked at Bexar County Hospital of San Antonio and on February 21, 1976 she gave birth to her second son, Daniel Xavier Huron. Sue then moved to Kerrville, Tx. and worked at the Kerrville State Hospital for 11 years. In October of 1989, Sue moved to Virginia Beach, Virginia and she worked at Westport Nursing Home from 1989 to 1991. She also worked at Imperial Plaza Assisted Living and Nursing home from 1991 to 1994. Sue met many very special people while she worked there. This is where she met Karen Johnson. She always called Karen her “adopted daughter.” In July of 1994 Sue moved back to Texas to help with her parents who were recuperating from having strokes. While living in San Saba, she found work at the local Detention Center. Sue loved travelling and she loved to eat! She knew the best places to eat around San Saba. She loved music and listened to all kinds of it. Sue loved Jesus with all her heart. She loved her family and she loved people. Her passion was cooking and if she knew you were sick, here she would come with a pot of food! She loved her nieces and nephews and would always have gifts for them during Christmas, their birthdays, graduations, and when they welcomed babies of their own into the family; she never overlooked any of them. She always seemed to know when they were struggling financially and here would come Aunt Sue to help them out. She also loved Israel and always asked that we pray for the people of Israel. She was loved by her family so much.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her two sons, Benjamine Roger Huron Jr. of Kyle, Tx., and Daniel Xavier Huron of Austin, Tx.; her grandchildren, Hannah Huron of Virginia, Xavier Huron of Austin, Tx. and Isiah Johnson of Virginia; her brothers, Richard Flores and wife Martha of San Saba, Tx., and Edward Flores and wife Diane of San Saba, Tx.; her sisters, Mary Huron, of San Saba, Tx., Virginia Reyes and husband Ernest of San Saba, Tx., Dolores Rowe and husband Jeff of Glen St. Mary, Fl., Anastasia Martinez of Fredericksburg, Tx., Alice Alvarado of Kerrville, Tx., as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Sue is preceded in death by beloved husband Benjamine Roger Huron; her parents; her brothers, Rodolfo Flores, David Flores, and Antonio Flores; a niece, Connie Huron; a nephew Andrew Flores; and her adopted daughter Karen Johnson.

When I am gone, release me, let me go, I have many things to see and do

You mustn’t tie yourself to me with tears. Be happy that we’ve had so many years

I gave you my love; you can only guess how much you gave me in happiness

I thank you so much for the love you have shown, but now it’s time I traveled on alone

So grieve for me awhile, if grieve you must, then let your grief be comforted by trust

It’s only for a while that we must part, so bless the memories within your heart

I won’t be far away, for life goes on, so if you need me, call me and I will come

Though you can’t see or touch me, I’ll be here, and if you listen with your heart, you’ll hear all my love around you soft and clear

And then, when you must come this way alone, I’ll greet you with a smile, and welcome home
