HPU Hispanic Students Receive Scholarships

The Hispanic Alumni Fellowship (HAF), founded by Dr. Juan Andrade (’70), honored 18 Hispanic students attending Howard Payne University (HPU). Recipients were chosen to receive scholarships from funds created by Hispanic alumni or in memory of loved ones.

Rev Ruben Hernandez, HAF President, announced the following scholarship recipients at a Hispanic Heritage Month (September 15 – October 15) Scholarships Breakfast held at the Doakie Day Arts Center.

In attendance were HPU students, members of the First Mexican Baptist Church and members of SALSA, the Strategic Alliance for Leadership and Social Action.
