Jerry Bible, 67, of Brownwood, Texas, passed away on October 2, 2025, entering Heaven to be with God and to reunite with his father, Raymond “Lynn” Bible; his mother, Reba Jean Bible; his brother, Ray Bible Sr.; and many other loved family and friends who went before him.

Jerry was born in Brownwood on January 8, 1958. On July 25, 1991, he married the love of his life, Eva Bible. Eva was truly his soulmate, and Jerry’s love for her never wavered. He often said she was his one true love, and now he waits for her in Heaven.

Jerry was blessed with four children of his own and five children through marriage, as well as many sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and extended family members—all of whom he cherished deeply. He also found comfort and companionship in his pets, who were an important part of his life.

Jerry will be remembered for his lifelong passion for raising and caring for game roosters, a devotion he shared with his father from the time he was a young boy. Together, they won many derbies, fulfilling a promise to his mother that the work would keep Jerry and his father close, comfort them, and keep them on the right path.

Hardworking all his life, Jerry balanced raising roosters with years of employment at Kohler, running his own business laying carpet and vinyl, and later retiring from Superior Essex. Known as a man of his word, Jerry was loyal to those he loved and could always be counted on to help.

He was also a storyteller and a jokester, quick with a tale about the “good ole days.” Friends often laughed and said, “Where do you come up with this stuff, Bible?” His humor, warmth, and generosity will be missed by all who knew him.

Above all, Jerry wanted those he loved to live with joy, find happiness, and one day join him in Heaven.

Visitation will be held on Monday, October 6, 2025, from 1-2 pm at Blaylock Funeral Home of Brownwood with a funeral service following visitation at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Blaylock Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Bangs Cemetery.
