Lady Lions fall in straight sets at District 6-4A rival Glen Rose

Maddi Scott (9) led the way with seven digs and one ace for Brownwood (14-14, 0-3), which will next visit Mineral Wells at 4:30 p.m. Friday

GLEN ROSE – The Brownwood Lady Lions slipped to 0-3 in District 6-4A volleyball action and 14-14 on the season with a 25-7, 25-18, 25-3 loss at Glen Rose Tuesday night.

Aniah Hines tallied six kills for the Lady Lions followed by three from Demayha Hooker, and one each from Hannah Deen and Kaydence Chandler.

Icess Hall dished out eight assists while Jentry Coalson chipped in three, and Hall, Lanie Johnson, and Maddi Scott each served an ace.

Scott led Brownwood with seven digs trailed by six from Hall, three apiece from Coalson, Grace Sparks, and Camryn Gipson, and one each by Deen, Hines and Bellah Stokes.

At the net, Gipson notched the only block for Brownwood.

The Lady Lions will next visit Mineral Wells at 4:30 p.m. Friday.
