Sheila Frost Dunlap, age 73, of Early, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on September 26th, 2025. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8PM on Thursday, October 2, at Heartland Funeral Home in Early. Funeral services for Sheila will be held at 10:00AM on Friday, October 3, in the Heartland Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Marion Cemetery in Lohn.

Sheila was a woman whose faith never wavered and whose love knew no bounds. She cherished her family above all else, loving them fiercely and fully, and she extended that same love to her friends, who quickly became family in her heart. Her joy was infectious, her laughter unforgettable, and her presence made everyone around her feel welcome, seen, and deeply cared for.

Throughout her life, Sheila wore many hats—babysitter, beautician, college clerk at Cisco Junior College, and correctional officer at Thomas R. Havins Unit in Brownwood—but her true calling was in the way she lived out her faith. She shared her love of Jesus openly and was a shining example of how to live a life rooted in hope, resilience, and unwavering trust in God. She endured many hardships, yet her spirit remained steadfast, her heart always turned toward her Savior.

She is survived by her two sons, Herman Wesley Dunlap III and wife Chelsie, and Blyth Lee Dunlap and wife Sarah; her beloved grandchildren, Wesley Dunlap, Rileigh Roeun and husband Danny, Tristyn Rhodes and husband Ethan, Presley Dunlap, Brooke, Kevin, and Aiden Dunlap; and her two older brothers, Junior Frost and wife, Teresa, and Wesley Frost and wife, Joyce. She is preceded in death by her parents, Claude Lee Frost and Oleta Cathrine Frost; her granddaughter, Kyra Dunlap; and her son, Kevin Dunlap.

To know Sheila was to love her. Her heart of gold, her laughter, and her steadfast faith will be remembered always. She leaves behind a legacy of love, joy, and faith that will continue to guide those who knew her.

Her family and friends take comfort in knowing that she has been reunited in Heaven with the loved ones who went before her, and that her light will continue to shine through all who carry her memory. As Sheila, Mom, Gran would always say, “I sure do love ya!”

Condolences, memories and tributes can be offered to the family online at heartlandfuneralhome.net
