Leslie Ray Lavon Floyd, age 36, of Brownwood, passed away on Thursday, September 25, 2025 in Abilene. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 PM on Tuesday, September 30, at Heartland Funeral Home in Early. Funeral services for Leslie will be held at 10:00AM on Wednesday, October 1, in the Heartland Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Zephyr Cemetery. Following the burial, there will be a lunch at Freedom Fellowship Church in Early. Following the lunch, the family will host a Celebration of Life in Owens.

Leslie was born on November 12, 1988 in Snyder to Lillie “Shorty” and Marion “Benjamin” Floyd in Snyder. He married the love of his life, Danielle Floyd in Pioneer on July 23, 2023. Leslie was a Brick Mason around Brownwood throughout his life. He enjoyed fishing, going to church at Freedom Fellowship in Early, cooking out, and fish fries. He loved spending time with his friends and was often the life of the party at family gatherings.

Leslie is survived by his wife, Danielle Floyd; children, Leslie Floyd Jr., Patrick “PJ” Ochoa, and Araya Ochoa; brothers, Steven Ashley, and Robert Ashley; brother-in-law, TJ Harrell; nephews, Ben, Blake, JD, Walker, Brandon, Nick, Dylan Sewell, and Chance Swindall; niece, Amanda Harrell, and numerous other family members and friends.

Leslie was preceded in death by his parents, Marion and Lillie Floyd, and sisters, Jodie Floyd and Marie Floyd.
