Fishing Reports 9/24/25

The following fishing reports are provided by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department for the week of September 24:

LAKE BROWNWOOD

GOOD. Water stained; 79 degrees; 1.56 feet below pool. Black bass to 6.13 pounds are good in 3- 5 feet of water on topwater frogs in the shoreline grass with some fish on chatterbaits, crankbaits and jigs in the brush 5-12 feet of water. Crappie are excellent to 14 inches on minnows and jigs off deeper large docks with brush on the main lake and on scattered brush piles in 10-20 feet of water. White bass are slow to 1.50 pounds on crappie jigs and crankbaits out of the lights at night. There is some schooling action in the open water of the main lake. Catfish are fair on jug lines with cut shad or perch on the main lake flats and drains 10-25 feet of water.

LAKE CISCO

GOOD. Water normal stain; 87 degrees; 15.28 feet above pool. Fishing has been pretty good, with the bite steady, especially in the mornings when conditions are favorable. Report by Lake Cisco Rentals

LAKE COLEMAN

SLOW. Water stained; 82 degrees; 2.13 feet below pool. Bass are fair to 3 pounds on small finesse worms in 10-15 feet of water. Crappie good to 2 pounds on jigs and minnows in 10-15 feet of water on the main lake docks and in the timber towards the creek.

LAKE O.H. IVIE

FAIR. Water stained; 81 degrees; 17.91 feet below pool. Black bass are fair with catches up 9 pounds. There is a fair bite in both river using 6.5 inch are fair using a hags F 6.5 in Plum Apple and red bug. 10 to 15 ft. Pitching bushes in 5 to 10 ft of water with a rage tail Space Monkey and rage tail crawl Okeechobee craw colors and green pumpkin pork best. Main Lake areas long extended points with brush around 10 to 18 ft. Finesse worms on shaky heads and scoping minnows to 3 in natural Shad patterns working best. Topwater bite is fair for the first hour and a half of the mornings. Crappie good in Big Trees suspended down 7/8 ft. Bottom depth is around 15 to 25. Jigs are still good but minnows best. Catfish good up the Concho on Cut shad perch and stink bait. Under Corks And Bobbers 5 ft down are working best for catfish Report by Wendell Ramsey, Ramsey Fishing.

LAKE PROCTOR

FAIR. Water stained; 87 degrees; 1.61 feet below pool. The lake level is slowly on the rise with some water being released and the clarity is murky. Catfish are good on the dam side from the bank with worms or cut bait. Report of sand bass and hybrids catches with topwater lures.
