EARLY – The Early Lady Horns notched their second District 8-3A volleyball victory in a row and moved above. 500 in a league play with a 25-15, 25-16, 25-23 home victory over Eastland Tuesday.

Early (21-5, 3-2) was sparked by Jensyn Rasor with nine kills, Aubrie DeVillier with eight, Ellie Shea with seven, Grey Pruett and Cassidy Frerichs with three apiece, and Kailyn Gallardo with two.

Pruett dished out 15 assists and Frerichs contributed eight, while Gallardo served three aces trailed by two apiece from Rasor and Pruett, and one each by DeVillier and Tiffany Phelps.

Defensively, Pruett recorded 12 digs followed by 11 from DeVillier, eight from Gabby Benson, five from Gallardo, three each from Rasor and Frerichs, and one from Shea.

Rasor also collected a pair of blocks while DeVillier, Frerichs and Shea each were credited with one.

The Lady Horns will return to the court at 10 a.m. Saturday when they host Tolar.
