Brown County Sheriff’s Office Report: Sept. 22

The Brown County Sheriff’s Office provided the following information:

  • On September 18, 2025, I, Deputy Saydie Bradley, was patrolling the area of ten-mile crossing in the block of CR 257, where I located several items which had been dumped in the water way. A report was made.
  • On September 19, 2025, at 0758, Deputy Thomas Beloat was dispatched to W. Commerce regarding found property. Information was gathered and a report was completed.
  • On September 19, 2025, at 1619 hours, Deputy Thomas Beloat with the Brown County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to the Law Enforcement Center located at W. Commerce regarding identity fraud. Information was gathered and a report was completed.
  • On 09/20/2025, Deputy John Geis was dispatched to CR 546, Brownwood, TX 76801 regarding a mental crisis possible domestic. Deputy Geis arrived and spoke to a THOMAS, JIMMIE, who was claiming to have a mental crisis. THOMAS, who admitted to being under the influence of alcohol, had begun running away from the residence, onto the shoulder of Highway 279, and refused to cooperate. THOMAS was placed in custody for Public Intoxication for his safety and the safety of others. THOMAS was transported to the Brown County Jail and released to jail staff. MHMR was contacted by jail staff, information was gathered, and a report was made.
