Brown County Sheriff’s Office Report: Sept. 19

The following information was provided by the Brown County Sheriff’s Office:

  • On 09/16/2025, Deputy John Geis was dispatched to the Brown County Sheriff’s Office regarding a Criminal Mischief. Deputy Geis spoke to a Yareli Torres, who claimed her ex-boyfriend, HERANDEZ, TYLER, had thrown flour and eggs into her mailbox. Information was gathered and a report was made.
  • On 09/16/25, at approximately 1520 hours, Deputy Ethan Fox was dispatched to handle a fraud complaint by phone. Deputy Fox spoke with Jenny Smith, who stated someone used her name and social security number to apply for unemployment. Information was gathered and a report was made.
  • On September 16th, 2025, at 1945 hours, Deputy Hayden Donahoo was dispatched to a walk in at the Law Enforcement Center in reference to scam. Information was gathered and a report was made.
  • On Wednesday, September 17, 2025, Deputy TJ Harrell was dispatched to the Brown County Law Enforcement Center for a possible hit-and-run. Information was gathered and a report was generated.
  • On Wednesday, 09/17/2025, at about 2117 hours, Deputy Chris Williamson was dispatched to a criminal mischief call located at FM 2125, Brownwood, TX. Terry Burkes stated he had a lock cut off the main entrance of his property. Information was collected and a report was made.
  • On 09/17/2025, at 1447 hours, Deputy Michel Wilson conducted an investigative stop on a Silver GMC, who left the scene of a domestic disturbance at 2130 Oak Trail Dr. in May. After investigation, the driver of the vehicle, Jarrod Crenshaw, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and interfering with emergency call for service.
