Early halts district skid, notches 20th victory at Breckenridge in straight sets

Jensyn Rasor (#2) paced the Lady Horns (20-5, 2-2), who are back in action at 6:30 p.m. when Eastland visits, with 12 kills and 5 blocks Thursday night

BRECKENRIDGE – The Early Lady Horns snapped a two-match skid and leveled their District 8-3A volleyball record with a straight-set 25-12, 25-22, 25-16 victory at Breckenridge Thursday night.

In their 20th win of the season, the Lady Horns received 12 kills from Jensyn Rasor, 10 from Aubrie DeVillier, four from Grey Pruett, two from Kailyn Gallardo and one each from Cassidy Frerichs and Ellie Shea.

Pruett dished out 18 assists while Frerichs contributed 10, and Pruett also served five aces trailed by DeVillier with a pair and Rasor with one.

On the defensive end, DeVillier and Gabby Benson each registered 14 digs followed by 12 from Pruett, nine from Frerichs, seven from Rasor, three from Gallardo, two from Jamie Lyon and one by Tiffany Phelps.

At the net, Rasor collected five blocks along with three each from Pruett and Shea.

Early (20-5, 2-2) is back in action at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday as it welcomes Eastland in another District 8-3A volleyball match.
