Linda Shirk Aaron, 61, of Brownwood, Texas passed away Thursday, September 11, 2025. A visitation with family will be held at Heartland Funeral Home from 6:00 – 8:00 PM, Tuesday, September 16, 2025. Her funeral will be at Haven of Hope Church, 2202 Center Avenue, Brownwood, Texas Wednesday morning, 10:00 AM, September 17, 2025 with interment to follow at Pendergrass Cemetery, Sidney, Texas with pastor Brian Hall and Charles Walters leading the service.

Linda was born November 25, 1963 in Belton, Texas to Chester & Clara (Kelley) Shirk. She graduated from Brownwood High School and received an associate degree in administrative services. Linda worked doing a few different things in secretarial and other things, driving big trucks down the highway, but her favorite was homemaker and momma. Linda was mom not only to her children, but to the neighborhood of kids, all of her kid’s friends and all of her nieces and nephews. If you were a kid, you were hers and you did what she said, but it was always fun. Linda was a proud member of Haven of Hope where she was baptized in 2019. She loved singing, cooking, watching her grandchildren play sports and going to church with her great granddaughter Naija. Linda’s entire life changed the day she became a Nana to Payton Williams and she was later blessed to be a Gran Gran to Kamden and Macee. She was the best Mom and a wonderful sister that left a legacy of love that will be missed.

Linda is survived by her daughter, Sheri Barron and husband Gary of Brownwood; son, Charles Ellis Walters III and wife Carrie of Early; bonus daughter, Casie Orr and husband Matt of Sidney; sister, Diane Guthrie, Gloria Russell and Nova Sanchez and husband Gabe; brother, Olen Shirk and wife, Tonya; friend, Wayne Gibbs; grandchildren, Payton, Macee, Kamden; great grandchildren, Naija & Kordell; and a host of nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.

Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Aaron; granddaughter, Jazmyn Barron; sister, Debbie McMillan; brother, Gerald Shirk; and two brothers-in-law, Billy Guthrie and Lynn Powell.

Online condolences can be shared with the family at www.heartlandfuneralhome.net
