Brown County Sheriff’s Office Report: Sept. 12

The following information was provided by the Brown County Sheriff’s Office:

  • On Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at approximately 09:48, Brown County Deputies were dispatched to County Road 291. Dispatch advised Curtis Todd Paskewitz had shot at the caller two times at their residence on County Road 291.
  • On 09/10/25, at approximately 1842 hours, Deputy Ethan Fox was dispatched to Pency Dr, Brownwood, TX 76801 regarding an illegal dumping complaint. Deputy Fox spoke with Harold Stieber, who stated he believes DAVIS, THOMAS dumped material on the back of his property. Deputy Fox spoke with DAVIS, who claimed the portion of land belongs to him, not Harold. Information was gathered and a report was made.
  • On September 10, 2025, at approximately 2050 hours, I, Deputy Alexandria Sanchez, was dispatched to Fm 2525 in reference to an animal complaint. Deputy Sanchez spoke with Amy Marie Lorah (Victim), who stated her neighbor’s, FRANCISCO ABELARDO ESCOBEDO (SUSPECT, W/M, 4/16/78), dogs are constantly on her property and charging towards her and her kids. ESCOBEDO was issued a prohibited dog running at large. Information was taken and a report was made.
  • On September 10, 2025, Deputy Smith took a report from Mr. Rust, who advised an unknown individual has attempted to obtain unemployment benefits in his name.
  • On 09/09/2025, at 0830 hours, Deputy Michel Wilson was dispatched to CR 183 for an animal complaint. Alfredo Razo had 3 ducks and 1 chicken killed by the neighbor’s, Guy Watt, dog. Information was taken and report was made.
  • On 09/09/2025, at approximately 1307 hours, Brown County Deputy Sheriff Madeline Reigle was notified by dispatch regarding a fraud complaint by phone. The victim stated while attempting to renew their government assistance benefits, the worker notified them of their Social Security Number being used at multiple different places of employment under a different name. A report was made for further investigation by the Brown County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division.
