It is with heavy hearts, the family of Ronald L. Wallace announce his passing on September 5, 2025.

Ron was born on August 4, 1948 in Corpus Christi, Texas to Fred Sam and Billie Rae Wallace.

Left to cherish his memory are the love of his life Ella L. (Shipley) Wallace along with six children: Andrea Wallace, Steven Wallace, Michael Wallace and wife Shavonica, Christi Kinsley and husband Cory, Bob Wallace and wife Laura, Jay Wallace and wife Loren; brother-in-law Rocky Shipley and niece Kimberly Hector; 16 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Pamela, infant daughter Sharon and in laws Elvis and Lousie Shipley.

Ron’s life was anchored first and foremost in his love for his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He spent his working years in the oilfield where to this day he is respected and called upon by many. Ron’s true passion however was a cowboy way of life. His best days were spent horseback, which he often referred to as “the most enjoyed days of my life.” He held a special talent for working the land and training cutting horses. Ron was especially proud of his efforts in helping establish a second chance program for men needing help to rebuild their life and learn of the love their Lord had for them.

His hugs, stories, laughter, strength, unwavering love and sparkling blue eyes filled with joy will be terribly missed. He was truly one of a kind and irreplaceable. His life will go on thru the generations of his family. The stories of his love, strength and the protection will all had under that old straw hat will live on.
