Brown County District Clerk Cheryl Jones, Brown County Clerk Sharon Ferguson, and their teams along with the Brown County Courts are excited to announce that Brown County is replacing its aging jury management system with Tyler Technologies’ Enterprise Jury Manager. Tyler EJM is a modernized system that will enhance the jury service experience for jurors while increasing efficiency within the county’s courts.

The official jury summons will be sent by mail as a postcard. The postcard will provide guidance regarding responding to the summons, when and where to appear, and will feature a QR code that links to the juror online response system which is available 24/7. Jurors will be able to complete the questionnaire, claim an exemption, notify the court of disqualification, and request deferrals. Access to the juror online response system will continue after registration to check on the status of jury service. Once registered by filling out the juror questionnaire, potential jurors will receive emails and text message reminders of service date and time and alerts if jury has been cancelled.

Tyler EJM is an intuitive, all-encompassing platform designed to manage every facet of the jury process within a single system. Built upon decades of jury management expertise, it offers flexibility, convenience, efficiency, and intelligence to court operations which include Brown County District Court, Brown County Court at Law, Brown County Court and Brown County Justice of the Peace Courts.
