Susan Elaine Wiley, age 67 of San Saba, Texas passed away peacefully surrounded with family by her side Wednesday, September 3, 2025. A graveside service for Susan will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 6, 2025 at Terry Cemetery and will be officiated by Pastor Alan Arthur. Arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home in San Saba.

Susan was born August 23, 1958 in San Saba Texas, to Ima Pauline Sanderson and Kirtland Jacob Stewart. She attended school in Copperas Cove and San Saba. Susan had a passion for nature and enjoyed spending time outdoors. Fishing was one of those outdoor activities she loved, finding peace and relaxation by the water. She also found peace and joy in nurturing the growth of her plants and sharing them with others. Flowers brought beauty and happiness into her life, and she couldn’t imagine a world without them. Susan was also a social butterfly and loved striking up conversations with anyone she met, making new connections and learning about their lives. She loved exploring flea markets, thrift stores, and garage sales in search of hidden treasures, but her best treasures were her grandkids.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are two children: Chris Stewart and wife Ami of San Saba, Texas, Landy Covington and husband Sam of China Spring, Texas; Three grandchildren’s: Prystyn and Peighton Covington, and Colton Whitley Stewart; Four siblings: Shelia Lightfoot and husband Ron of Copperas Cove, Deborah Shannon of Lampasas, Bruce Stewart and wife Emma of San Saba, Paul Stewart and wife Jennifer of San Saba, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Susan’s wishes were that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to The San Saba Volunteer Fire Department – P.O. Box 143 San Saba, Texas 76877.
