
EARLY – The Early Lady Horns shook off their first volleyball loss of the season and returned to the win column in abrupt fashion, sweeping Cornerstone Christian, 25-6, 25-8, 25-14 Tuesday.
Early (14-1) received 15 kills from Aubrie DeVillier, 11 from Jensyn Rasor, five from Cassidy Frerichs, three from Kailyn Gallardo, two each from Ellie Shea and Grey Pruett, and one apiece from Hallie Thornberry and Jaime Lyon.
Pruett dished out 24 assists while Frerichs contributed 12 and Gabby Benson tacked on one.
DeVillier and Pruett also served five aces apiece, Rasor recorded three, Benson and Tiffany Phelps each tacked on a pair, and Gallardo and Lyon finished with one each.
Defensively, Gallardo notched nine digs trailed by DeVillier with six, Pruett, Benson and Frerichs with four each, Lyon with two, and Phelps, Shea and Rasor with one apiece.
At the net, Rasor and Pruett registered one block each.
The Lady Horns will next compete in the Bronte tournament Thursday through Saturday.
