I started to say I’ve never been – but I lied to you – I used to be a huge golf fan but then I suffered a little minor wreck and I hurt my shoulder and the doctor said, “You better not play golf for a week or so.” So I said, “Okay”. Well, it gave me a good excuse and I could say, “Hey, do you remember twenty years ago when I had this wreck and I couldn’t get my shoulder back and I have nothing as far as golf is concerned so I’m quitting.” Everybody said, “Yeah, sure.” But I did. I quit and haven’t played in twenty or thirty years.

But, it allows me to throw out my opinion on the PGA tour as well as -what do they call that thing – the LIV tour or something like that. Anyway, it’s where some Saudi Arabian guy paid a whole bunch of money to get people who were big on the American golf tour to play on their golf tour. I wondered at first if it was going to be on regular golf courses. They cleaned that up pretty well and they’ve pretty well satisfied most people. I’m not most people.

Until you see the players on the tour – good players – that are playing this tour except for a few reasons. Well, number one they like you to dress better. So rather than have the PGA tour and you dress a certain way, they allow shorts. I don’t like the look but that’s just me. Then they, I don’t know, it’s just so “yucky” or whatever you want to call it.

They don’t have anything like the PGA tour.

I appreciate that the PGA tour stood firm and they said, “We are going to play our game.” I can’t watch the thing on TV. They’ve got a colored screen and I can’t pick out anything and that’s that. What else do they have? I don’t know. I could go through all of it and take up thirty minutes of your time, but it’s the LIV tour, or I think it comes across as LIV. It may stand for anything. LIV – I’m sure you’ve seen it on TV and stuff. I honestly, honestly, can’t figure out what they’re doing or what they’re playing for.

I know that over in Saudi Arabia they’ve got more money than the law allows and they’re paying these people off to get them to play for them. Some of them have run for the money and the others have stayed true to the PGA. I hope they always will.
