Texas hunters and anglers can purchase their 2025-26 hunting and fishing licenses online and at retailers statewide.

Current single-year licenses, except the Year-from-Purchase All-Water Fishing Package, expire at the end of August.

Texas hunting and fishing licenses will be available online through the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) website, by calling 800-895-4248 during regular business hours or in person at more than 1,800 retailers across the state.

For resident hunters and anglers seeking convenience, digital licenses are also available for several license types. This option includes the super combo, youth hunting or lifetime combo, hunting or fishing tags. Other products such as the exempt angler tag, bonus red drum and spotted seatrout tags also can be purchased online.

TPWD will offer fully digital options for all recreational hunting, fishing and combo license and tag types.

Digital licenses can only be purchased online and will be accessible through the Texas Hunt & Fish and TPWD Outdoor Annual mobile apps.

Digital tagging is required of digital license holders through the Texas Hunt & Fish mobile app. Digital license holders will not receive a printed license or tags but must keep their digital license available via mobile device while in the field.

TPWD encourages repeat license buyers to use the expedited checkout process to speed up the sale of new licenses and re-purchase licenses bought in recent years.

Hunting and fishing regulations for the 2025-26 season are available online at outdoorannual.com or the Outdoor Annual mobile app.

A $5 administrative fee is charged for online transactions.

Each year, more than 3 million licenses are sold in Texas. The funds from license sales are used for on-the-ground conservation efforts, including fish stocking, habitat restoration, land conservation and Texas Game Wardens.
