
BROCK – The Brownwood Lady Lions placed fourth as a team while the Lions came in sixth at the Brock Invitational on Friday, the first cross country meet of the season for both teams.
The Lady Lions produced 116 points which trailed Brock (46), Stephenville (69) and Joshua (93). The Lions generated 150 points which left them behind Joshua (31), Stephenville (66), Eastland (99), Brock (128) and Fort Worth Castleberry (143).
Running for the Lady Lions were Rebekkah Delgado (18th, 13:30.56), Haylee Adkins (22nd, 13:51.02), Ailean Palacios (29th, 14:10.42), Joclyn Salazar (30th, 14:13.99), Khloe Galvan (33rd, 14:26.87), and Lyndi Biasiolli (35th, 14:42.26).
Competing for the Lions were Bennett Windham (17th, 11:40.87), Carter Massey (26th, 11:56.22), Juston Burt (31st, 12:03.0), Hayden Mair (35th, 12:15.19), Brayden Musick (53rd, 13:12.38), and Adrian Skrhak (62nd, 13:52.72).
The JV Lady Lions placed third with 51 points behind Stephenville (27) and Brock (49), while the JV Lions came in fourth with 127 points behind Joshua (23), Brock (62), and Stephenville (80).
Lady Lions JV runners were Destiny Long (7th, 15:31.71), Destiny Sharp (8th, 15:36.1), Riley Abernathy (9th, 15:41.41), Isabella Garza (12th, 16:02.51), Montanna Ramsey (16th, 16:09.37), Natalie Dillard (32nd, 18:13.77), Brooklyn Bouldin (33rd, 18:19.62), and Kyle Arocha (40th, 19:24.98).
Lions JV competitors included Reagan Munsugu (12th, 12:42.52), Johnathan Solano (23rd, 13:32.81), Noah Lambert (30th, 13:51.89), Brayden Munsell (32nd, 13:58.05), Valente Cardenas (42nd, 14:33.98), Jonathan Shrhak (43rd, 14:44.87), and Kip Havens (55th, 16:09.81).
The Lions and Lady Lions are back in action on Wednesday, Aug. 27 when they host the Brownwood Invitational.
