Pamela Kay Phillips, age 66, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on August 1, 2025. She was born on May 1, 1959, in Lenoir, North Carolina, to Harry and Evelyn Hinkle.
Pam was a devoted housewife and loving mother. She had a deep appreciation for music, was an avid reader, and found great joy in playing games with family and friends. She especially cherished summer BBQs and swimming at her sister Debbie’s home. Her kind heart and warm spirit made her a beloved part of every gathering.
She is survived by her son, Ricky E. Phillips of Beaufort, SC; her sister, Debbie Burleson and husband Bruce of Early, TX; her brother, Craig Hinkle of Beaufort, SC; and her special companion, David F. Markham of Brownwood, TX. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.
Pam was preceded in death by her daughter, Amanda Phillips; her brother, Dewayne Hinkle; and her parents, Harry and Evelyn Hinkle.
The family will hold a private ceremony at a later date to spread Pam’s ashes in the North Carolina mountains— a place that held special meaning to her.
