Bernice Lunell Kirby Weaver

Bernice Lunell Kirby Weaver was born May 22, 1938, in Plainview, Texas. She passed away on August 13, 2025, in Goldthwaite, TX. Bernice married John Weldon Weaver on August 31, 1956.

Together, they moved to the Dallas area so John could pursue his career in construction engineering and then later moved to Marble Falls, Texas where John formed his own construction company with Herschel James. Bernice assisted with the company as a bookkeeper and helped with submitting construction project bids.

John and Bernice are survived by their three daughters: Lisa Weaver Hanna, Rhonda Weaver Anderson (Stephen Anderson), and Melanie Weaver. Bernice’s surviving family members include her grandchildren: David Hanna (with Diana Kinney Hanna) and Candice Miles Bayron
(with Brandon Bayron). Her great-grandchildren are Lucy Loraine and Theodore Wayne Hanna, children of David and Diana Hanna, and Benjamin Stevens and Eva Marie Bayron, children of Candice and Brandon Bayron.

Bernice is preceded in death by her husband John Weaver, her father Haskell Kirby, her mother Floy Abbe Kirby, her brothers Reuel Kirby and Paul Kirby.

Graveside service will be at 2:00 PM Saturday, August 16, 2025 at Big Valley Cemetery, Mills County, Texas. Interment Big Valley Cemetery, Mills County, Texas. On August 16, 2025, meet at the chapel at 1:30 to proceed to the Big Valley Cemetery for a graveside burial service.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you please donate to the New Mexico Children’s Home NMCCH.org donations or Solaris Healthcare at Solarisfamily.com donations.
