David Keith Lane, a cherished member of his family and community, was born on September 19, 1953, in Coleman, Texas. He passed away peacefully at his residence on August 9, 2025, leaving behind a legacy marked by love, care, and creativity.

David was a proud graduate of Talpa Centennial High School. He further pursued his passion for the arts by attending art school in Denton for a short time. His creativity was reflected in his love for painting, which brought him joy and allowed him to express himself artistically. Alongside his artistic endeavors, David was an avid reader with a particular fascination for history, especially Native American History.

Throughout his life, David was known for his deep sense of responsibility and devotion to his family. He took great care of his parents, Fallice Scott Lane and Lydia Ruth Davis Lane, during their later years, showcasing his unwavering love and commitment to them.

He is survived by his loving siblings: Sue Lane Goodwin of Snyder, Linda Lane Anderson of Big Spring, Scott Lane of Abilene, Priscilla Lane of Lubbock, and Naoma Lane of Raleigh, North Carolina. David also leaves behind many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins who will remember him fondly.

David was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Ronald Gene Lane. His absence will be profoundly felt by all who had the privilege to know him. David’s memory will live on in the hearts of those he touched with his warmth, kindness, and artistic spirit.

At David’s request, his body will be cremated and a private family inurnment will be held at the Coleman City Cemetery. David will be inurned between his loving parents.

We invite you to share fond memories and words of comfort and condolence with the Lane family by signing the guestbook on David’s tribute page at www.stevensfuneralhome.com. Stevens Funeral Home is honored to serve the Lane family.
