Brown County Sheriff’s Office Report: Aug. 8

The Brown County Sheriff’s Office issued the following information:

  • On Friday, 08/01/2025, at about 1731 hours, Deputy Sheriff Chris Williamson was dispatched to a walk in at the Law Enforcement Center in reference to an assault. Blanca Estela Miranda stated her boyfriend, Gabriel Gonzales Tobias, assaulted her. Information was collected and a report was made.
  • On 08/01/2025, at 2326 hours, Deputy Michel Wilson and Deputy Chris Williamson were dispatched to a disorderly conduct at US 183. After speaking with Dennis Hence, it was found a terroristic threat of serious bodily injury occurred in the block of CR 411 with William Daugherty. Information was obtained and a report has been made.
  • On Saturday, August 2, 2025, at approximately 0238 hours, Brown County Deputy Sheriff Francisco Valencia initiated a traffic stop in the block of FM 2525. While speaking with the driver, Deputy Valencia observed signs of intoxication. Standardized Field Sobriety Test was conducted, and the driver was placed into custody for Driving While Intoxicated. A report was made.
  • On August 2, 2025, I, Deputy Saydie Bradley, was dispatched to Bray regarding an animal complaint. Three citations were issued, and a report was made.
  • On August 2, 2025, at approximately 14:45, Deputy Dean Anderson was advised of a call concerning a suspicious individual 5000 Block of FM 1176, Brownwood, 76801 TX. Upon arrival, contact was made with Glenn Stewart to check his welfare. Stewart then approached Deputy Anderson in an aggressive manner, swinging his arms and striking him in the face and head area with open and closed fist, causing bodily injury. Stewart was placed in custody for Assault Against a Public Servant and booked into the Brown County Jail. Information was gathered and report submitted.
  • On 08/02/2025, at 2117 hours, Deputy Michel Wilson was dispatched to Shady Oaks Dr for a theft of a bumper pull camper. After investigation, a 2007 Haulmark cargo trailer belonging to Gerald Leonard was located on the property of James Dennis and was also found to have been stolen. Information has been obtained, and a report has been made.
  • On 08/02/2025, at 2117 hours, Deputy Michel Wilson was dispatched to Shady Oaks Dr for the theft of a bumper pull camper. After investigation, Coley Smart’s 2019 Coachman Freestyle was located on the property of James Dennis. Information has been obtained, and a report has been made.
  • On Sunday, August 03, 2025, at 07:47 hours, Sgt Jayson Bastardo was dispatched to 8012 CR 606 regarding criminal mischief. Dispatch advised the complainant, Cassie Liggin, stated BOBBY BROWNE had damaged her vehicle. Upon arrival, contact was made with Liggin. Liggin said BROWNE had poured an unknown substance down her gas tank. Information was gathered and report was made.
  • On 08/03/2025, at 1739 hours, Deputy Michel Wilson, Deputy Christopher Williamson, and Sgt. Angel were dispatched to FM 2632 for a domestic in progress. After investigation, it was found Maxy Thetford had strangled and stuck Daymon Benson in the head. Maxy was arrested for Assault Family Violence impeding breath.
  • On 08/03/2025, at 1739 hours, Deputy Michel Wilson, Deputy Christopher Williamson, and Sgt. Angel were dispatched to FM 2632 for a domestic in progress. After investigation, it was found Maxy Thetford had shoved Misty Arevalo, making her fall and hit her head on the coffee table. Maxy was arrested for Assault Family Violence with previous conviction.
  • On Monday, August 4, 2025, at approximately 12:40 p.m., Deputy Scotty Burke, #139, was dispatched to Canyon Creek Dr. in reference to an illegal dumping report and investigation. Contact was made with the property owner, who stated someone had cut his fence, stole trespassing signs, and had pushed a large amount of dirt, rocks, and tree limbs onto his property. Information was gathered and a report was completed.
  • On August 5, 2025, Deputy Smith was dispatched to Shady Oaks for a Criminal Trespass Warning. James Dennis was served a Criminal Trespass Warning for the Harrs property.
  • On Wednesday, August 6, 2025, at approximately 11:48 a.m., Deputy Scotty Burke was dispatched to CR 608 in Brownwood, TX in reference to an illegal dumping report and investigation. Contact was made with the property owner, who advised his neighbor’s “black sewage water” was being allowed to flow onto his property. Information was gathered and a report was completed.
  • On Wednesday, August 6, 2025, at approximately 12:00 hours, Deputy T.J. Harrell with the Brown County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to Arapaho Drive, Brown County, Texas 76857 in reference to a reported theft. The victim stated her purse was stolen with prescription medication inside. The victim needed a police report to obtain a new prescription. Information was gathered and a report was made.
  • On Wednesday, August 6th, 2025, at 13:21 hours, Deputy T.J. Harrell with the Brown County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to County Road 603 for an ongoing assault. Both parties left the scene, and the victim was later found walking in the area. The victim identified the suspect, and deputies attempted to locate without any luck. Information was gathered and a report was made.
  • On Wednesday, 08/06/2025, at about 2054 hours, Deputy Sergeant Jason Bastardo and I, Deputy Chris Williamson, were dispatched to a fire call located at Hillside Dr., May, TX. DANIEL BLAKE WARRINER was arrested for assaulting a North Lake Volunteer Fire Fighter. Information was collected and a report was made.
  • On Thursday, August 7, 2025, at approximately 0909 hours, Brown County Deputy Sheriff Francisco Valencia was dispatched to CR 444, May, TX regarding a delivery message. The victim wanted to report an incident which occurred recently regarding his home being burglarized. Information was gathered and a report was made.
  • On Friday August 08,2025 at 1:10 hours, Sgt Jayson Bastardo was dispatched to W Commerce, Brown County Jail, in regard to an inmate assaulting a jailer. Upon arrival, contact was made with Bobbi Taylor. Taylor said she was assaulted by KRISTAL JOHNSON. Information was gathered and a report was made.
