Terrence Keith Till, age 42, of Brookesmith, passed away on August 5, 2025. Visitation will be held at Heartland Funeral Home from 6:00 – 8:00 PM on Friday, August 8. Funeral services for Terrence will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, August 9, in the Heartland Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Cross Cut Cemetery.

Terrence was born in Rankin, Tx on Sept 28,1982 and from that day on, it seemed the world spun a little faster. If you were ever around him, it was 90 to nothing. All gas, no brakes. He never met a stranger, and if you were lucky enough to call him friend, you had a friend for life. He was the life of the party and always with a smile on his face. He would light up a room when he walked in and you knew it was going to be a fun time when Terrence was around. He attended Brookesmith ISD and spent his junior high and high school years rodeoing and playing football. He went on to rodeo for Sul Ross State University. After school, he paid his dues working in the oilfield and was well known in that circle. Hard working when he wanted to, but always playing a little harder. If he wasn’t hunting arrowheads, you could find him on the dock fishing or on the course shanking balls. Our lives will never be the same, and we are going to miss him like crazy. But we rest in the fact that he’s in heaven riding the best red roan with the best blue heeler following right behind. And one day we will see him again.

Terrence is survived by his mother Gayla Ellison of Brownwood; his daughter, Bentley Till of Brownwood; sisters Amanda Scott of Brownwood, and Shelby Vara and her husband Caydon of Brownwood; and brother Colten Tibbitts of Brownwood; nieces, Paizlee, Blakely and Tildyn Scott of Brownwood; and his girlfriend Jamie Billeck of Brownwood and his dog Molly.

He was preceded in death by grandparents Gaylon and Rita Ellison and Wendell and Sally Till. Great grandfathers John Green and Beryl Ellison.
