Anthony Joe “Paco” Soto, Jr., age 41, of San Saba, Texas, passed away Saturday, July 26, 2025, from injuries he sustained in an automobile accident. Paco, as he was known by most, was born on January 6, 1984, in Brady, Texas, to Nicolas Soto, Jr. and Victoria (Granado) Soto. He grew up in Brady and graduated from Lohn High School in 2002. He has worked as a rock crusher for several years, most recently at Jacobs Stone Products in San Saba. He enjoyed farming, fishing, traveling, cookouts with friends, playing video games and his x-box. Paco was a motivated, hard worker with a strong spirit. He had a very outgoing personality, always ready to help someone out. He had a great bond with his family. His dad passed away when Paco was 14 years old. He “stepped up” to help his mom. He loved his mom and his sisters and spending time with his friends and family. He was outspoken and the clown of the family.
Funeral services for Anthony Joe “Paco” Soto, Jr. will be at 10:00am, Saturday, August 2, 2025, at Leatherwood Memorial Chapels in Brady with Father Terry Brenon officiating. His remains will be cremated following the service. The family will receive friends Friday, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm with the Holy Rosary being recited at 7:00pm at Leatherwood Memorial Chapels. Paco is survived by his loving mother Victoria Soto and her companion David Ayala of Brady, Texas; brothers Andrew Soto of Brady, Texas and Harley Villanueva of San Angelo, Texas; sisters Jessica Soto of Brady, Texas, Stacey Soto of Brady, Texas and Cassandra Soto of Brady, Texas, several nieces and nephews and many friends. He was preceded in death by his father, both sets of grandparents and niece Marissa Pitcox.
