Robin Walker, 79, of Brownwood, Texas, passed away peacefully on July 20, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Duncan, Oklahoma on September 29, 1945, Robin was the son of Verne and Betty Jo Walker of Healdton. He was raised in Healdton and graduated from Healdton High School. In 1964, Robin enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, where he served with distinction as a Combat Vietnam Veteran. He completed two tours with Alpha Company Hawk 67, 3rd Recon Battalion and retired in 1968 as a sergeant. His service was marked by courage, honor, and a deep commitment to his fellow Marines and country.

Following his military service, Robin built a successful career in the oil field industry, working with dedication and integrity. He served three terms as Commander of the Odessa VFW and dedicated his time to numerous veteran-related causes. He retired in 2012 from Baker Operating in Odessa, Texas. After retirement, he moved to Brownwood, where he enjoyed a peaceful life surrounded by family and friends. Robin was known for his quiet strength, humility, and unwavering love for those closest to him.

In 1968, Robin met the love of his life, Deborah Goode, in Healdton. They married and shared 56 wonderful years together, raising a devoted and loving family. Robin was a proud and supportive husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

He is survived by his wife, Deborah Goode Walker, and their five daughters: Robbi Walker; Micky Harper and husband Joel; Stacy Aguerro and husband Dominic; Lindy Jennings and husband Shayne; and Mendy Green. Robin was a proud grandfather to thirteen grandchildren: Heather Austin, Dustin Walker-Palmour, Dylan Sellers, Fantyse Gilder, Ryan Sellers, Shayne Jennings II, Robin Palmer, Gage Jennings, Kurstyn Ming, Tory Cottrell, Kynslee Walker, Kimberlee Green, and Dalton Palmour. He was also a great-grandfather to fourteen great-grandchildren, each of whom brought him immense joy.

Robin is also survived by his siblings: Jeff Walker and wife Bernadette; Beth Jefferies (preceded in death by husband Daryl); and Sara Max and husband Chris. He was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved grandson, Christopher Ming, who now welcomes him into eternal peace along with other cherished family members, dear friends, and his fellow brothers in arms.

Robin Walker will be remembered for his steadfast patriotism, his deep love for family, and the legacy of honor and humility he leaves behind. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Visitation will take place at Blaylock Funeral Home on Friday, July 25th, from 6:00 to 8:00pm. A come-and-go dinner will be served at the Brownwood VFW Hall on Friday from 5:00 to 7:00pm. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, July 26th at 2:00pm at First Baptist Church in Bangs, Texas, followed by a graveside service at Trickham Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home.
