
In a short meeting today, the Brown County Commissioners voted approval for the purchase of two new radios for the Sheriff’s Department. Chief Deputy Sheriff James Stroop made the request for the purchase of radios from the Lower Colorado River Authority. A mobile radio will cost $8,330, and a portable radio will cost $4,556.
In other business:
*** Commissioners re-appointed Bart Johnson to the position of County Insurance Agent of Record.
*** Commissioners accepted the monthly Treasurer’s and Auditor’s Report, as presented by David Becktold from the Treasurer’s Office. Over a total of sixty accounts, the County has a total of cash and other financial assets totaling $24,014,848 at the end of June.
*** Commissioners agreed to leave the Burn Ban OFF for the time being.
