Carol Sue Turner

Carol Sue Turner, age 60, of Brownwood passed away July 17, 2025. A time of visitation will be held Tuesday, July 22 from 1:00 – 2:00 PM, prior to the funeral service starting at 2:00 PM in the Heartland Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will take place on Wednesday, July 23 at 11:00 AM at Stiles Cemetery in Big Lake, Texas.

Carol was born on July 19, 1964 in Reagan County, Big Lake, Texas to Tommy and Edith Livingston. She graduated from Lee High School in Midland and married the love of her life, William Turner on June 4, 1999.

Carol was a truly remarkable individual whose boundless generosity, unwavering confidence and selfless spirit touched countless lives. She was a thoughtful, caring and kindhearted soul that was always ready with a supportive word or a helping hand. Carol had a special gift for nurturing others, she blessed many children who needed love and support, guiding them with compassion and wisdom. Sharing the love of Christ and watching proudly as they grew into loving, caring adults. Her impact on their lives and all who knew her is immeasurable indeed. She is loved by more than we can ever know. A true free spirit, Carol embraced life with joy. She found delight in listening to music, watching birds, cuddling with her animals or embarking on new adventures. With William by her side, Carol created a home filled with warmth and laughter. Their epic celebrations surrounded by loved ones and friends are all cherished memories that will live on. Carol’s legacy of kindness and unwavering support will forever remain in our hearts.

Carol will be deeply missed by those she left behind. Survivors include her husband, William Turner; stepfather, Bruce Gerrison of Brownwood; daughter, Eden Grossel and husband Herb; granddaughter, Ezri Grossel of Corpus Christi; son, Tyler Moss and grandson, Zye Moss of Globe, Arizona; neices, Lyndsey Fisher and husband Tony of Cooper, Jennifer Holcroft and husband Alex Sanchez of McComb, Mississippi, Jennifer Wisdom and her husband Jason of Longview, Aliyson Medlock of Brownwood and Andea Bastlett of Burnett; nephews, Billy Reeves of Midland, Jeffery Hollcroft and his wife Michelle of Manor, Joel Reynolds of Burnett, Cassius Pinkerton of Austin; in addition to longtime best friends, Cynthia Reynolds and Rebecca Glenn both of Brownwood.

Carol was preceded in death by both of her parents, Tommy Livingston and Charlette Garrison; sisters, Sherry Reeves and Anna Brewer and her nephew, Joey Hollcroft.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Corrine T. Smith Animal Center at 3016 Milam Drive, Brownwood, TX 76801.
