Bobbie Dean (Ford) Turner, age 86, passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Bobbie was born on November 25, 1938, in Lamar County, Texas to Oscar and Velma (Ladymon) Ford. In 1941, she and her family moved to Petersburg, Texas, where she graduated from Petersburg High School in 1956. After graduation, Bobbie attended Draughon Business College in Lubbock where she completed her associate degree and began working at Lubbock National Bank.

On April 16, 1960, Bobbie married Billy Dwaine Turner in Idalou, Texas. They lived and worked in Lubbock and welcomed their daughters, Angie Renee (1965) and Amy Lyn (1967). In 1970, they moved their family to Melvin where Billy began farming and ranching and Bobbie worked for Attorney E. H. Swaim at the Concho County Abstract and Title office in Eden. Later, she worked for Moore Oil Company in Brady and finished her career as the Assistant Librarian at Brady High School. After their retirement, Bobbie and Billy moved to Brady in 2008.

Bobbie was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Melvin and the First Baptist Church of Brady. She was a lifetime member of the Eastern Star. Bobbie enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren and was actively involved in their extracurricular activities and sporting events. She and Billy were longtime supporters of the Brady Bulldogs and Bobbie served as a member of the ‘Ole Hound Dawgs and the Brady Band Boosters. Her 3-Layer Banana Nut Cake was always the fan-favorite for the band’s cake auction, and Bobbie’s passion for cooking and baking will be well-remembered by her family and friends.

Bobbie is preceded in death by her parents, brother, Jimmy Ford, great grandson, Ryan Turner Pollok, and great granddaughter, Hannah Madeline Pollok. She is survived by her sister, Judy (Larry) Jordan, daughter, Angie Turner of Brady, daughter, Amy (Robert) Garland of Dripping Springs, grandchildren Kayce (Vince) Heinz, Justin (Lindsay) Pollok, Haley Garland, Weston Garland, great grandchildren, Grant Reina, Avery Reina, Levi Pollok, Julia Pollok, Lila Heinz, and Jack Heinz.

Burial arrangements are entrusted to Leatherwood Memorial Chapels of Brady. An open visitation will be available all day Friday and Saturday morning. A graveside service will be held at the Rest Haven Cemetery on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at 2:00 pm. Friends may view and/or sign Bobbie’s online memorial guest book at www.leatherwoodmemorialchapels.com.
