
Sales tax allocations for July 2025 were higher than July 2024 in all three Brown County Cities, according to information released this week by the Texas Comptroller’s Office. The City of Early, which has been running behind 2024 for most of the months this year, led the way with a large increase this month. BROWNWOOD
The City of Brownwood received $587,409, an increase of 2.87% over July 2024. Fiscal year-to-date (October 2024 through July 2025) Brownwood has received $6,226,246, up 5.81% over the previous fiscal year-to-date.
The Brownwood Municipal Development District received $195,442, an increase of 3.52% over July 2024. Fiscal year-to-date, the Brownwood MDD has received $2,017,255, up 4.95% over the previous fiscal year-to-date.
EARLY
The City of Early received $204,495, an increase of 17.67% over July 2024. Fiscal year-to-date, Early has received $1,911,591, down 5.08% compared to the previous fiscal year-to-date.
The Early Municipal Development District received $67,838, an increase of 18.05% over July 2024. Fiscal year-to-date, the Early MDD has received $626,657, down 4.58% compared to the previous fiscal year-to-date.
BANGS
The City of Bangs received $19,849, an increase of 2.14% over July 2024. Fiscal year-to-date, Bangs has received $236,637, up 10.88% over the previous fiscal year-to-date.
The Bangs Municipal Development District received $3,173, an increase of 11.45% over July 2024. Fiscal year-to-date, the Bangs MDD has received $33,495, up 8.70% over the previous fiscal year-to-date.
